Out of the Box Exhibits (Dec. 1, 2007 to present)
Creative Director of startup exhibit OEM whose responsibilities include client consultation to define project, exhibit conception, CAD creation and rendering of exhibit designs for client approval. Also develop and implement marketing strategies for OTBE in the form of corporate identity, web design,trade advertisements, and marketing collateral. Task also include actually building exhibits and quality control of individual displays. Clients include, Kraft Foods, L3 Communications, Shurtech.
Qmessenger (Dec. 1, 2002 to 2007)
Creative Director for software and marketing concern by helping develop an Online marketing publisher aka. Qmessenger as well as creating and developing print material, booth design and various corporate collateral. In addition to Q development, was responsible for developing web site designs for various other clients which Qmessenger managed.
Turning Point Publishing (Nov.1, 1995 to Dec.1, 2002)
Art Director - Responsibilities included creating all of Turning Point Publishing’s identity collateral including, trademark design, corporate literature, product brochures, trade booth design, web site design, trade publication advertisements and various in-house marketing literature. Creation and production of Interactive Homes, an electronic brochure in the form of a CD ROM. These were created for homebuilders to present the homes photos and plans. The production involves
- image photo art direction,
- processing 35mm slides,
- producing full screen advertisements for the project sponsors,
- creating all of the multimedia images for the CD, including flash animation, maps, buttons and all other aspects of the projects elements.
- creating the packaging of the CD including trey liners, booklets, CD art, etc. Clients included: over 50 national homebuilders including D.R. Horton, U.S Homes,
Hannah Bartoletta and many others
Avenue Graphics (June 1, 1990 to Nov. 1, 1995)
Founder and owner of Avenue Graphics, a studio committed to providing high quality ideas, images and imagination to a plethora of business concerns.
Co-founder of Old Huntsville magazine, a historic publication for Huntsville. Production of magazines in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Birmingham, AL, Fort Worth, TX, and Elgin, IL. Responsibilities included conceptualization of the publication, creation of the unique distribution mechanisms, production of Huntsville as well
as a myriad of other similar publications. Also produced mechanical, ads, handling and printing. Other clients include: Merrill Lynch, Marotta Scientific, West End Grill, City of Huntsville, Available Plastics and National Copper, John Blue Realty, Building Science Associates, Pit Bull Products and Crystal Farm Antler Chandeliers
and Furniture.
John M. Cockerham & Associates (January 31, 1984 to July 1, 1989)
Responsibilities included development of corporate identity program as well as the direction and preparation of all company in-house graphics. This included the conception and production of corporate collaterals such as product literature, view graphs, proposal graphics, trade advertisements, product brochures.
Other responsibilities include generation of printing specifications and obtaining bids from printers, as well as corporate signage, technical illustration, supporting network development, system concept drawings, and other visual graphics for defense contracts. Specific missile weapons systems include TOW, MLRS,
JTACMS, and Optical CM (USMC).
Kentron, Inc. (November 1982 - January 1984)
Responsibilities included coordination of exhibit design effort and preparation of conceptual rendering requested by NASA. Interfaced with customer representative to assess feasibility of performing exhibit design requirements in compliance with NASA graphic standards. Prepared subsequent preliminary design concepts and performed quality assurance. Was as well responsible for selection, preparation and placement of visual material and equipment, such as illustrations, photographs, backlighted transparencies, text, copy, actual hardware, models, projection equipment and lighting to effectively communicate information to an audience.
Creative Displays (October 1976 - November 1982)
Responsibilities included conception and production of scaled artwork for sales presentation to client. Thirty sheet posters of both silk-screened readiness and manugraphed produced posters. Also scaled artwork for 12’ x 25’ paint units. Other responsibilities included ordering art supplies, materials, posters from silk screen companies and paper for paint room.
